After getting married in 2010, our first home together was in Haven Grove, in Naenae. Nestled deep in the bush, with a view out across the valley, it is a shame that I didn’t get more painting done at this location.
However, during this time, I had a full time job as a Primary School teacher, and in 2012, developed clinical depression and received treatment for anxiety. This lead to a lot of self doubt in everything I did.
Each painting here was painted for a specific reason; either to decorate the house, or for an exhibition or purpose.
