Vicky
Vicky came into my life around the middle of 2006. She was a friend of a friend doing the same course as me at university. We became friends and talks got longer as they do. Attraction grew and phone calls were made, deep into 2 hours long. Voyages to remote beaches were made. First kisses were had. It was a long time before I asked her out though. I struggled with the endless discussions with myself, with friends and with God. It came down to a question of why not?
So on the 17th of November I asked. The response was a quietly spoken, yet resounding "Yes!". It echoes through my head even today. The following months were ones of discovery. It was a time of introductions and meetings. A time of happiness and of sorrow. It was growth. Building upon friendship always seems to go so much easier.
