About Me

I am a student.
Currently studying for the BA/BTeach at Victoria University, Wellington.
I am in my last year of study.

I am an artist. Though more specifically a painter, just so I don't get lumped in with those people who use art as an excuse for stupidity.

I am a web-designer. Every now and then I pull out the laptop and write a few hundred lines of code.

I am a Christian. A Christ follower. Enough said.

Music

Since I was little I have been playing music. I have been playing the guitar since I was 10. I like all types of music, depending on the mood I'm in. Click on the player buttons (bottom left of the page) to hear some samples of my music.

I am hugely keen on Jars of Clay at the moment. Their mellow tones can be heard playing long into the night in my room. Go to www.JarsofClay.com to see their stuff.

I am currently going through a Jeff Buckley meets Jack Johnson and James Blunt phaze with my songs - a laid back acoustic mix where vocals just tell it how it is rather than sounding good!

I currently own 3 electrics (Squier Master Series Tele, Ibanez RG350 (currently for sale), Vester Series I) and one Acoustic/Electric (SX Poison series)

The Vester was my first electric guitar. It has a sunburst finish and the standard Stratocaster shape (seen in the background of this page). The Squier Master Series Chambered Tele is my latest guitar. It has a beautiful tone and a sleek finish. The Ibanez is currently for sale, to pay for my Squier. It has a Black gloss body, Silver/Reflective pick guard, Humbucker pickups at bridge and neck and single coil in the middle.

I'm currently running everything off a Peavy Envoy 110. Great little amp with enough power to battle with the best of them, its grunty and is just perfect for what I need. I also have a Korg A4 pedal. It has 36 Preset banks, with 36 banks set aside for User combinations of flavors! I've had it for a while and its still running strong. I'm beginning to use it a little more for Worship at church.
